Luna's Magic Flute Project - Sarah Finch and Jo Price

7th July 2018, The Arch, Station Lane, Chandlers Ford, SO53 4DD

If you love performing and playing your flute then you will love participating in Luna's Magic Flute in July 2018. Journey with Luna on a train and explore galloping horses in fields, turtles under the sea and a dragon in a cave. Luna's Magic Flute is a fairytale which invites you to join Luna and her Magic Flute as they set out on an unforgettable adventure in the wide world. In the story Luna makes new friends and triumphs over the evil dragon who steals her Magic Flute.

Local flute teachers Sarah Finch and Joanna Price will be leading the workshops. Sarah is an experienced ensemble leader, working regularly with flute choirs, saxophone ensembles and wind bands. She has run a flute choir workshop for the British Flute Society and has performed on the Oceana and Arcadia. Sarah regularly performs in the theatre for amateur dramatic companies and is excited about combining her love of the flute and theatre in this production of Luna's Magic Flute.

Jo was Principal Flute of both the Reading Youth Orchestra and the Berkshire Youth Orchestra and went on to study Music as the University of Manchester, followed by a PGCE and Licentiate in Instrumental teaching. She has taught locally for over 15 years and is the Musical Director of Flautissimo. Her favourite aspect of being a musician is playing with local shows and she looks forward to bringing Luna to life on stage.

Tickets are £20. If you would like to participate in this workshop you can book through Sarah, email sarah@sarahheard.co.uk for a booking form and further details.

The day will run from 10am until 4pm with a performance to friends and family at 4pm. Tickets for this performance are £2. If you would like to narrate some of the story, dance or do puppetry this will be available to choose on the day.
